One Dime Coin Head

One Dime Coin Head

In this closeup image, the obverse side of the one-dime coin takes center stage against a pristine white background. The focal point is the portrait of Franklin D. Roosevelt, the 32nd president of the United States, capturing his distinguished features with remarkable detail. To the left of Roosevelt's portrait, the word "LIBERTY" is elegantly curved, framing the president's image. The lettering is a testament to the classic design principles that adorn American coins. Positioned under the chin of President Roosevelt is the inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST," a reminder of the nation's commitment to faith and a guiding principle prominently featured on U.S. currency. Adjacent to this, the year of issue, "2002," is visible, denoting the coin's minting year. A unique addition to the coin is the small marking "JS," representing the initials of John Ray Sinnock, the chief engraver of the United States and the designer of the dime. Sinnock's initials have adorned the obverse side of the Roosevelt Dime since its introduction in 1946.
