Large (Uromastyx Aegyptia) Lizard Lying On The Sand, The species was named after its distribution in Egypt, The genus name of Uromastyx is derived from the Greek “Uro” meaning tail, and “Mastix” meaning “Whip”, Uromastyx aegyptia is a species of lizard in the family Agamidae. The species is endemic to North Africa and the Middle East.
