Hello, I’m Sam Mugraby, a passionate photographer, and I have been serving joyful clients for nearly two decades through Boxist Photography, which I founded in 2005.
This is my second blog post of 2025, and I truly wish I could post more frequently. However, running my photography business is incredibly demanding, as I handle almost everything myself. Boxist Photography is a one-person operation—I manage everything from capturing images in my studio and traveling to different locations to editing, retouching, and meticulously preparing each photo for publication.
Every single image requires careful attention:
- Editing & Retouching – Ensuring perfect lighting, colors, and composition.
- Metadata & Titles – Assigning unique names, detailed descriptions, and relevant keywords.
- Uploading & Managing Content – Maintaining a vast collection of tens of thousands of images.
- Customer Service – Providing 24/7 support to my valued clients.
- Website & Server Maintenance – Storing and managing high-resolution images.
- Copyright Protection – Defending my work against unauthorized use and infringement.
Protecting my copyrights is an ongoing battle. While I pursue legal action against those who willfully infringe on my work, I also believe in giving people the opportunity to resolve issues amicably when possible. Some infringers genuinely don’t realize they have used my images without permission, and I try to work with them to find a fair resolution. However, others only take copyright laws seriously when they are forced to face legal consequences.
All of this makes running a photography business challenging, which is why I may not post as often as I’d like. But I promise to keep this blog updated with new content whenever I can.
