The Ouroboros is very ancient symbol depicting a serpent or snake eating its own tail. The name originates from the old Greek language; (Oura) means “Tail” and (Boros) means “To Eat or Eating”, thus “he who eats the tail”. The Ouroboros is representing the perpetual cyclic renewal of life and eternal endless infinity, This concept of eternity and the infinity return, and represents the whole cycle of life, secrets of death and soul rebirth, which is leading to immortality.

Ouroboros is one of the oldest mystical signs and old symbols of the world! It represents birth, death and renewal. The eternity cycle of life. It can be perceived as Life enveloping itself; where the past tail appears to disappear but is really moving inwardly and outwardly to a new reality vanishing from view but still existing.

If we follow mentally the consequences of a serpent swallowing its tail, we see that in a magical sense it will reduce itself to a single point and vanish from the universe utterly. Hence the Ouroboros swallowing its tail represents the gateway between our universe and the absolute, or to put it more poetically, the Eye of God.
